LVMH to open new Mayfair hotel

Luxury goods giant LVMH wants architect Norman Foster to design its new London hotel and flagship Celine store, set to open by 2022.

According to the plans, the Mayfair complex will also include a spa and restaurant, and Business of Fashion hasthe cost at around £500 million .

The group’s CEO, Bernard Arnault, said, “The future of luxury will not only be in luxury goods, as it has been for many years, but also in luxury experiences, and we want to be in both segments.”

The new London hotel will be around the corner from Louis Vuitton’s Bond Street flagship and will join LVMH’s Cheval Blanc network of hotels.
