WEESP, 28 JULY 2020 - Premium Retanning just got a new name: Optitan. Smit & Zoon is proud to announce the introduction of a retanning solution that minimizes cost per hide, reduces the environmental impact, and optimizes retanning results. Optitan offers state-of-the-art leather performance in tightness, softness, fullness, dyeing, heat yellowing, and lightfastness profiles.
 
The Optitan range offers four newly developed products, which are designed for the best possible results. Thanks to their high active content, Optitan retanning agents enable a reduction in application dosage. This leads to a reduction in the cost spent per hide and decreases the environmental footprint. A clever combination of improvements have contributed to this new solution:
