The Sicarev cooperative group, which includes 7,500 breeders, is investing €16 million in this 25,000-square- meter factory, which dates back to 1969. The company is supported by aid of €2 million from the France recovery plan. The project consists in improving the production tools and the addition of 15 automated machines that “will provide physical assistance to the most repetitive and difficult functions,” said a management spokesperson.

The Tradival slaughterhouse employs 290 permanent staff, and nearly 400 people when including temporary workers and service provider employees.
