Stahl opens central leather application lab of Pakistan

Chemical company Stahl has opened a renewed application lab in Karachi, Pakistan, focusing on the latest developments of new fashion items and customer services, and offering physical testing services and outstanding aftercare for new products.

With this renewed application laboratory, Stahl intends to meet the most stringent requirements for shoe uppers and customers in garments, leather goods and upholstery by offering global solutions and a strong back-up of the aftercare division.

"The decision to renew this application lab is fully in line with our position as industry leader in the wet-end, leather finish and shoe finish," said Anwar Iqbal and Ashraf Bajwa, directors of Stahl Pakistan.

"The application lab focuses on the latest developments from wet-end to finishing on a global level and strong back-up services from our aftercare division to fit our customers' needs. At the lab, we are able to perform physical testing, computerised colour matching along with all standard operational processes of leather processing."

Stahl operates nine R&D centres, 11 manufacturing sites and nearly 40 application labs globally.
