In May, TFL Academy welcomed students from the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT) at the University of Northampton, UK, and the Italian High School for Tanning Technology ITIS G. Galilei for a training week on leather technologies.

The workshop offered students the possibility to experience the entire tanning cycle based on innovative market machineries and to present/discuss the final results of their laboratory activities in front of the entire group.

The training included several trials with TFL technologies and their practical application in the laboratories, giving consideration to the ecological aspects involved in the leather-making process, as well as visits to local machinery producers, to the High School for Leather Technology (ITIS Galilei) and to the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Arzignano.

The TFL Academy has collaborated with the University of Northampton for 16 years to support the education of future generations of leather technicians, technologists and scientists.
