Turkish leather output drops amid wider growth

While Turkish industry continues to grow, its leather sector suffered a small drop in its output. The Turkish Central Bank announced that the country’s capacity utilisation rate (CUR) saw a 0.7-percentage point monthly gain from 77.1% in July. However, Among over 20 sectors, the highest capacity usage was seen in the manufacturing of coke and refined petroleum products with 88.4 percent in August, while the lowest CUR was seen in the leather and related products sector, with 59.7%.
