Zimbabwe leather industry: A call to arms

24 October 2018

Small scale players in the Zimbabwe leather industry have issued a plea for support to help them regrow the industry by re-opening and retooling previously shut down tanneries.

The country has already begun to put in place plans to re-invigorate the industry which used to employ in excess of 20,000 people, but producers have asked for government support and investment.
