For the second year running, Fortune has named Tyson Foods, among ‘America’s Most Admired Companies’, a list the magazine describes as "the definitive report card on corporate reputations".

Results are gleaned from a survey of executives, analysts and directors based on nine categories of business strength.

Tyson Foods, which also operates cattle hide tanneries in the US, ranked fourth in the food production category this year, two spots higher than last year, and received its highest marks for innovation, people management, quality of management and its long-term investment value.

"We’re proud of our company and believe it’s built for growth," said Tyson Foods president and CEO Donnie Smith. "This recognition is truly deserved by our team members."

In addition, Tyson Foods recently disclosed record sales and adjusted operating income for Q1 2015, its first full quarter since completion of their Hillshire Brands acquisition.
