Elitron previews Klick

26 March 2019

Once again Elitron is at the forefront of innovative automation development and last month previewed Klick at Simac in Milan.

Klick is Elitron’s newest, innovative solution, developed specifically to automate the pre-printing preparation process.
Klick can be interfaced with all printers to speed up the print process, reduce ink wastage, keep the printing bed cleaner, and allow the reuse of otherwise left-over materials.

This system automatically recognises the position of material/s and objects freely placed anywhere on the print bed, and manages the workflow accordingly:

Klick 1

Klick 1 recognises the perimeter of the material/s freely placed anywhere on the print bed, and the printer then only prints the design/texture within the perimeter of the material/s recognised.

  • No more printing over the whole print area
  • No more waste of ink
  • Print time reduced.

Klick 2

Klick 2 recognises the perimeter of the material/s freely placed anywhere on the print bed and nests the shapes automatically or manually using video projection, within the perimeter of the material/s recognised. The shapes are then automatically paired up perfectly with the images to be printed.

The online nesting is then ready to be cut on any of Elitron’s cutting systems.

  • Less waste material/s
  • Reuse of otherwise leftover material/s.

Klick 3

Klick 3 recognises the perimeter of the material/s and objects freely placed anywhere on the print bed and identifies the shapes to be printed. The shapes are then automatically paired up with the images to be printed.

  • No matrix necessary for objects – just place them freely anywhere on the print bed.

To sum up: increased productivity, and reduced costs.
