L’Atelier Cuir has opened a new leather workshop in Graulhet. The company works for the biggest luxury houses and counts LVMH and Kéring among its clients.

“I spoke to our customers about our establishment in Graulhet. They are delighted,” said manager of the Graulhétois site, Delphine Monnet Meilher. Currently, production, mainly clothing, is done in Italy but is to be relocated to Graulhet. An innovation hub will also be created.

The investment in this site is approximately €3 million. Training began in mid-April for the first 25 employees and will last 6 months.

For a long time, the leather trades were neglected and denigrated. The times are changing. There are great opportunities for the future for motivated and passionate people, Meilher said.

“Our know-how is unique. Our capacity for innovation and development is recognized internationally, making Graulhet the historic French capital of Leather,” says Mayor Blaise Aznar.
