The Leather & Hide Trades’ Benevolent Institution hosted its annual general meeting and lunch at the Leathersellers’ livery hall in London on May 15.

The LHTBI was established in 1860 as a charitable organisation to provide financial support to former workers in the UK leather industry. It provides invaluable support to its “annunitants”, reports International Leather Maker.

Around 70 people attended the annual lunch. In September, around 10-15 leather industry representatives will hold a sponsored bike ride across Northern France to raise funds for the charity which is being organised by the LHTBI Chairman, William Tusting.
