PrimeAsia names Sergio Da Costa as PrimeAsia China’s assistant chief operating officer

PrimeAsia Leather Company announced on 17 January that Sergio Da Costa had been named assistant chief operating officer at PrimeAsia’s China Tannery.

Mr Da Costa will be managing a diverse global team and leading PrimeAsia’s leather production operations.

Da Costa has worked within the leather industry for over 25 years in a multitude of roles and responsibilities and is experienced in all leather making processes and chemistries including R&D, SATRA leather grading and physical leather requirements.

He most recently worked at Simona Tanning in Huizhou, China, where he was the COO for the past two years. Before his time at Simona, Mr Da Costa worked at PrimeAsia as a senior production manager and best practice officer, at SADESA as their Asia product manager and as PrimeAsia Taiwan’s production manager.

PrimeAsia manufactures high-quality lifestyle and sports inspired leathers for the global branded footwear, apparel and leather goods markets reaching an annual capacity of approximately 132 million square feet.

PrimeAsia Leather Company’s facilities consist of two tanneries located in China and Vietnam, a marketing office in New Hampshire, US, as well as satellite marketing offices on the West Coast US, UK, Thailand, India and Indonesia. The company’s corporate headquarters is located in Taiwan.
