Stahl’s companion Fashion Colour Forecast poster for the same season also sports a seemingly travel theme. Is the blonde wearing a black leather jacket and leaning against the railing looking anxiously around for her travel companion? Or is there a ‘postcard view’ that causes her to look over her shoulder? Either way her jacket, shorts, leggings and high-heeled shoes reflect the fashion trends in both design and colour for the 2012/2013 autumn and winter season while suggesting a tourist setting.

We are influenced by ever changing fashions, designs and trends as styles metamorphose from one season to the next. The first impressions given by Stahl’s Postcards tell us that we are influenced by what we have done, are doing and will do, that research and testing are still a part of our future.

These are the thoughts behind creating the four colour groups, Epoch, Panoramic, Tourist and Virtual around which Stahl’s preview is built.

Contrasts and mixes of colours feature throughout this presentation of colour. So it is only right that the final Postcards show how the colours that have been previewed can be used together to mix and match. The poster also shows how colours and fashions can blend with a background as it asks the question ‘What is she looking at?’
